Q: Does there have to be an opening for the supply of fresh combustion air into the room?

  • A: Generally speaking, yes. For smaller rooms it is necessarily to have such an opening. Large rooms may have it, and do not have to. The stove takes fresh air and exhausts the fumes into the atmosphere during combustion from the room in which it is installed by the means of a fan for expelling the smoke. The greater the stove power, the more air it takes from the room.
